JBL Artemio Fluid

JBL Artemio Fluid 50ml - Artemia Enrichment Feed

JBL Artemio Fluid is a 50ml liquid feed produced by JBL in Germany, formulated specifically for enriching Artemia nauplii (newly hatched brine shrimp) from day 3 after hatching.

The fluid contains ultra-fine phytoplankton alongside a vitamin complex including A, B1, B6, C, D3, E, biotin and folic acid, with a protein content of 37%. The principle is gut-loading: by feeding enriched phytoplankton to Artemia nauplii before introducing them to the tank, the nutritional value passed on to fish fry, seahorses and other small fish is substantially increased compared to unenriched nauplii.

To use, shake well and add drop by drop to the Artemia culture water until it takes on a light green tint, then re-dose once the water clears. The product is not a substitute for a dedicated rotifer or copepod feed - for culturing those organisms, see the Reefphyto Rotifer Feed and Copepod Feed in the culture equipment range.

For any questions about brine shrimp hatching, enrichment or live food culture, contact us at [email protected] or call 01267 611533.
